Ruth & Geoff Choy
Geoff and Ruth have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of three teenage boys. Together they lead Mighty Tiger with warmth, structure, and a deep belief in the power of play.
Ruth Choy
Ruth has been teaching since 2003. She holds a California Site Supervisor Permit (ECE), a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a German Elementary School teaching credential. She earned her MA and BA in Linguistics and English Studies from Humboldt-Universität in Berlin, Germany.
Geoffrey Choy
Geoff holds a BA in Economics (Minor in Accounting) from UCLA and has completed Early Childhood Education coursework within the San Mateo County Community College District. He brings a rich career engaging with diverse cultures to the school.
A tribute to Magic Tiger.
Mighty Tiger Preschool is a heartfelt tribute to Magic Tiger, the play-based preschool our own three sons attended in Germany. Years later, we still see the positive, lasting impact of those early days on our boys.
Inspired by how much they thrived there, we strive to emulate that same warmth — recreating a magical, nurturing, and joyful space where every child can cultivate empathy, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning.
