WHAT AGES DO YOU CARE FOR?

We are licensed to care for children ages two to five years.

HOW MANY CHILDREN DO YOU HAVE AT YOUR PRESCHOOL?

We are a preschool aiming to be licensed to care for up to forty-eight children based on the square footage of our facility. However, we plan to maintain a teacher-children ratio of no greater than 1:9.

OPENING HOURS

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

FEDERAL HOLIDAYS AND VACATION

We observe the federal holidays. We are also closed two weeks in the winter, one week for spring break, and two weeks in the summer. Lastly we have two teacher professional development days in the fall and spring. Here is a link to our calendar. Regular payment rates apply for the days we are closed or when your child is out of school on vacation.

HOW TO BE ADDED TO YOUR WAITING LIST

We will first schedule an in-person tour for you to get to know us and see our facility. Then after you have completed an application, we will add you to our waiting list and will contact you once a spot becomes available.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Once you are on our waiting list, we will contact you when a spot becomes available. If the start date works for you, you will sign a contract and pay a $200 application fee which will be credited towards your first tuition payment. When we have received the completed contract and the application fee, we will secure the spot for you. As we approach your child's first day of school, you will receive the handbook and will need to complete additional paperwork required by our licensing agency, the CDSS.

DO YOU OFFER A PART-TIME SCHEDULE?

We only offer full-time spots. However, you as a parent are flexible with the drop-off and pick-up times with our regular opening hours.

DO YOU ACCEPT APPLICATIONS ALL YEAR ROUND?

We have rolling enrollment year round so we are flexible in our enrollment schedule.

TUITION

Our current monthly tuition is $2,032 for children ages 2 to 5 years. We have an annual supply fee of $200 due at enrollment and annually in September. For children in diapers we charge a diaper changing fee of $20/month. We will cater our meals and snacks - cost TBD. There is no enrollment fee.

TUITION PAYMENT

Tuition payment is due the first of every month. Payment schedule is noted on our calendar.

WHAT DO PARENTS NEED TO PROVIDE?

Needed items: diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, change of clothes, and blanket for nap time. Optional items: sun hat, sunscreen lotion, and moisturizing lotion.

MEALS AND SNACKS

We are contracting with a local restaurant and grocery store to provide breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and milk.  As a parent you are free to opt in to the meal catering program or you are welcome to provide the above mentioned meals for your child.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?

We will do our best to work with you if your child has special dietary needs.

CHILDREN'S ATTIRE

Children's clothing should be comfortable and keep them warm especially during the colder seasons. We also engage in art activities throughout the week, so clothing appropriate for these activities may be preferred by parents.

ARE NAPS MANDATORY?

All children will lie on their cots during naptime. We encourage all children to try to sleep. But if children don't sleep after a certain period of time, we offer meaningful, quiet activities for them to do. Children can read a book, work on a puzzle, or play with sensory materials.

POTTY TRAINING

We actively potty train children. We stay in touch with parents throughout the process to help the children transition from wearing diapers to underwear.

COMMUNICATION

We communicate with families through daily conversations, text messaging, and email. We take advantage of the daily drop off and pick up times to converse with families to find out about any important issues about their child we should be aware of and also to see how we can collectively advance their child's learning. We use text messaging for brief and immediate updates and email for general information. We do our best to maintain an open communication with parents so that we are able to provide the best care for their children.

BEHAVIOR

We believe that the guidance of a child is achieved through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. In our care we teach the children manners, kindness and to be respectful to others. We employ positive reinforcement and redirection as guidance techniques.

PHOTO POLICY

Understand that your child may be included in photos connected with our child care program, unless otherwise specified by you the parent.

We take photos daily and upload them to a Google Drive that can be accessed by the parents.

CELEBRATION OF HOLIDAYS

We understand that families come from diverse backgrounds, and each family approaches the holidays differently. As a result we do not celebrate any holiday at our school, however we do focus the children's learning on themes related to the seasons and leave the cultural education to the parents.
